What is the full range of services Baymore Ltd provides?
Baymore Ltd covers the full spectrum of drainage work: blocked drain clearance, CCTV drain surveys, commercial drain clearance, drain repairs, drain relining, drain installation, drain excavation, drain patching, gutter clearance and general and emergency plumbing, for both domestic and commercial customers.
What areas do you cover, and what if I'm just outside your usual patch?
The team works across Hertfordshire and into parts of Essex and Bedfordshire, covering towns including Bishop’s Stortford, Broxbourne, Buntingford, Cheshunt, Cuffley, Epping, Harlow, Hertford, Hitchin, Hoddesdon, Letchworth Garden City, Loughton, Stevenage and Ware. If you’re not sure whether your address is included, you’re welcome to call or email and someone will confirm.
Is your 24/7 emergency service genuine, and does calling out of hours cost more?
Yes, it’s a genuine round-the-clock service, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Out-of-hours callouts are charged at a higher first-hour rate than daytime jobs under the published pricing.
How does your distance-based pricing structure work?
Domestic pricing is split into zones based on distance from the Hertford office. The Local Priority Zone, closest to base, is charged at £95+VAT for the first hour and £70+VAT per additional hour. The Extended Coverage Zone, which includes London and the surrounding M25 area, is £110+VAT for the first hour and £70+VAT per additional hour. Anywhere further out falls into the Outer Coverage Area, which is priced on request.
What's included in the price of a standard callout?
The standard rate covers high-pressure water jetting, mechanical drain clearing equipment, handheld clearing tools, a basic CCTV inspection where needed, and full system testing once the work is complete.
Do the domestic prices include VAT?
No, the published domestic rates are shown as plus VAT, so VAT is added on top of the hourly rates quoted.
Could the cost end up higher than the first-hour rate quoted?
It can, if the job takes longer than an hour, in which case the additional-hour rate for your zone applies. More complex issues, such as heavy scale build-up, root ingress or a recurring problem, may take longer to resolve and require further investigation.
Is there anything that might occasionally not be available on a callout?
Vehicles are equipped to deal with the vast majority of drainage issues, but on rare occasions specific equipment such as CCTV units may be temporarily unavailable due to calibration or servicing.
Are you part of any recognised trade or consumer protection scheme?
Yes. Baymore Ltd holds a Which? Trusted Traders Endorsement, and customers can view reviews via the Which? Trusted Traders profile linked from the site.
Where is Baymore Ltd actually based, and is that the same as your registered company address?
The operational office is at 118 Hamels Drive, Hertford, Hertfordshire, SG13 7SW. The registered company address is different: The Old Court House, 26a Church Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2LY, under company number 14701237.
What's the best way to contact you — phone, email, or online form?
All three work. The contact form on the site asks for your name, phone number, email, service required, address and a brief message, which is useful for routine enquiries and quotes. For anything urgent, calling the emergency line directly is the quickest route to getting a technician out.
Can I see examples of drainage work you've actually completed?
Yes, there’s a gallery of past jobs on the site, along with a blog featuring detailed write-ups of specific case studies, including photos of the work carried out.
Do you only deal with everyday blockages, or have you tackled anything unusual?
Mostly everyday blockages, but not always. On one call-out, a CCTV drain survey carried out to investigate a backed-up drain revealed a child’s toy fire engine lodged in the pipework, which the team safely removed using their standard equipment before restoring full flow.
I've lost something valuable down a drain — can you get it back without digging up the road?
Often, yes. In one case, car keys lost into a drainage system were traced using CCTV survey equipment to a manhole roughly three properties away, then recovered fully intact using specialist retrieval equipment, without any excavation or disruption.
What is epoxy resin patch repair, and when is it used instead of digging up a drain?
It’s a way of repairing a damaged section of pipe from the inside, without excavation. A patch repair packer carrying a resin-impregnated liner is positioned at the defect, inflated to bond the liner to the pipe wall, then left to cure into a durable structural seal. It’s typically used where a defect such as a hole or crack is letting in soil or debris and causing repeated blockages.
Is excavation always necessary to repair a damaged drain?
No. Excavation is generally treated as a last resort, used only where a pipe has collapsed or the damage is too extensive for non-invasive repair methods such as patching or lining.
Can I arrange routine drain maintenance rather than waiting for an emergency?
Yes. Alongside emergency callouts, the team offers scheduled drain cleaning and maintenance, which helps identify early signs of wear and tear before they turn into bigger, more costly problems.
Do you have a mobile number, or just a landline?
Both are available. Alongside the main emergency line on 01992 245548, Baymore Ltd can also be reached on 07931 125 110.
Can I follow Baymore Ltd's work on social media?
Yes, Baymore Ltd has a Facebook page (BaymoreLTD) where you can see updates from the business.
Do you provide the same guarantee and insurance cover on both domestic and commercial jobs?
Yes. Domestic and commercial work alike is covered by public liability insurance and comes with the same no-fuss guarantee.
