Epoxy Resin Patch Repair – Damaged Drainage Pipe
Baymore Ltd were called to site following ongoing drainage issues and blocked drains, caused by debris entering the system and restricting flow.
Initial Issue – Damaged Pipe Allowing Ingress
Upon investigation, it was identified that a section of the drainage pipework had developed an open defect. This damage was allowing soil and small stones to enter the system, leading to repeated blockages and reduced performance of the drainage line.
Investigation – CCTV Drain Survey
A full CCTV drain survey was carried out to assess the condition of the pipework and accurately locate the defect within the drainage system.
The survey confirmed:
• A clearly defined hole within the pipe wall
• Active ingress of surrounding ground material
• Early signs of debris build-up forming within the line
Solution – Epoxy Resin Patch Repair
To repair the defect without the need for excavation, we installed a specialist epoxy resin patch repair liner, a highly effective solution for internal drain repairs.
The process involved:
• Thorough cleaning and preparation of the pipework
• Positioning a patch repair packer at the defective section
• Installing a resin-impregnated liner
• Inflating the packer to bond the liner securely to the internal pipe wall
• Allowing the resin to cure, forming a durable, structural seal
Outcome
Following completion of the repair, the system was re-inspected and tested to confirm performance:
• Damaged section fully sealed
• Soil and stone ingress completely prevented
• Structural integrity of the pipe restored
• Drainage system returned to full flow
• Repair completed with no excavation required
